EHS Art teacher Bethany Hopson submitted one of her drawings in the State Fair competition held earlier this month. Ms. Hopson's colored pencil drawing "Best Friends" earned the Kansas State Fair Grand Award.
This portrait is very near and dear to her heart as it is a picture of her two grandfathers who did in fact happen to be best friends. The original picture was taken at a memorial golf tournament held in honor of Ms. Hopson's late father. Unfortunately one of the "best friends" has since passed, but this special piece of art Bethany has created will serve as a cherished memory honoring her father and her grandfathers.
Congratulations Bethany! Thank you for sharing this beautiful drawing and story with us.
