HEAD COACH, Amber Brunswig
As a pitcher from Ark City, KS High School, Coach Brunswig grew up playing softball from a young age. Pitcher was her primary pitch and she took lessons from a variety of coaches around the area. Her senior year of high school the team won Class 5A state champs. After many college visits she decided to stay close to home and join the Wichita State Softball Team on a scholarship where she also obtained her Bachelors degree in education. She started her career in a second grade classroom in Newton, KS. She coached softball and volleyball for six years before focusing on her family. While at Newton she guided the softball team to two state appearances. As her family grew they relocated to Goddard, KS where she is now a 5th Grade Teacher at Discovery Intermediate School. She has a passion for working with the youth in all areas from teaching lessons in class to teaching softball, to all ages, outside of it. To date Coach Brunswig holds a winning record with the program of 67-28, that’s missing the 2020 COVID season.
ASSISTANT COACH, Kelsi Smith
Kelsi joined the Eisenhower Softball family for the 2018 season where she was the JV coach until 2020, in 2021 she became the Assistant Varsity Coach. She comes from Pratt, KS where she started all 4 years on the High School Varsity Team and earned a scholarship to Barton Community College. After Barton she went to Kansas State University and played on a club team through the university that traveled around the state to scrimmage Community College’s and other club organizations. After leaving KSU Kelsi found her self settling down into marriage and kiddos, having 3 of her own she kept busy until it was time for them to play ball. She has been coaching for over 14 years, loves working with the players and is looking forward to the continued growth with program.
ASSISTANT COACH, Emmalee Rose
Emmalee joined the Eisenhower Softball family in 2021 season, where she also signed on to help coach the Tiger Basketball C team. She comes from Shawnee High School where she focused on basketball and helping take the team to state appearances 3 out of the 4 years! Emmalee earned a basketball scholarship to Ottawa University, she transfered to Wichita State University to finish her degree in Sports Management. Currently, not only does she coach for us, she is a personal trainer helping others achieve their goals. In her spare time Emmalee coaches travel ball for Wheat State Elite and even coaching her little sisters team which she says has created a ton of memories, and traveling. She also loves to love up on her old dog Mack!
ASSISTANT COACH, Natalie Haywood
Natalie is a former EHS graduate & 4 year tiger softball player. After graduating in 2018 she went on to play at Cowley County Community College. Currently Natalie is a Sped Para at Vermillion Elementary in Maize and works on the side at Board and Brush. Coach Natalie says she is excited to be back at EHS and back on the field!
